Las Vegas, NV - iTech Media has recently acquired leading Open Source online magazine, Mad Penguin, in an effort to expand their growing portfolio of sites to include Linux/Open Source technology.

With this acquisition, taking place September 1, 2006, iTech Media will take over day to day operations of the web site and it's worldwide content distribution. Famed for it's in-depth reviews, iTech Media's Gundeep Hora vows to continue the tradition. "With Mad Penguin's acquisition, we expect to add a quality publication to our portfolio of independent media brands", said Hora, "Mad Penguin, under the management of Adam Doxtater, has seen amazing growth in a very short period of time due to in-depth and insightful pieces that represent extraordinary journalistic integrity. We hope to continue that tradition and serve our readerbase with the same quality content that they have come to expect".

Mad Penguin Founder and Chief Technology Editor, Adam Doxtater, wishes the new owners the best with their newly acquired site. "While I regret seeing the site go," said Doxtater, "I know that iTech Media will continue on with our publishing traditions and carry the Mad Penguin brand into the future. Things are looking good for the site and I'm excited to see what is to come."
