Maximum Linux Reaches Reactive Meltdown
  Nov 1st, 22:06 UTC

A different name with the same hard-hitting content

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 28, 2001

Livermore, CA - A year ago, Maximum Linux Magazine was expunged and MaximumLinux.org, fueled by its loyal readers and subscribers, lunged into the Linux news, reviews, and HOWTOs marketplace to take off where Maximum Linux Magazine left off. Today, MaximumLinux.org announces a slightly different twist, with a new name, a new look, and a dedication to helping the Linux community in the form of ReactiveLinux.com.

"I'm excited by the new name change. It's time for a new name and a new look, while still maintaining our usual daily plethora of Linux news," said Mark Weaver, the webmaster of Reactive Linux.

In its former state, Reactive Linux offered mostly user contributed reviews and HOWTOs under the name of Maximum Linux. It's been linked to and featured on many hard-hitting sites such as Slashdot, Linux Today, and Linux Games.

"Linux has emerged into different regions within computing. It's time for Reactive Linux to emerge into different regions with more HOWTOs, more reviews, and a small staff of Linux veterans who are ready to add personalization and enthusiasm to the website," said Woody Hughes, Manging Editor of ReactiveLinux.com.
