Nemein implements Midgard 2
  May 14th, 18:47 UTC

Helsinki, May 10th 2001 -- Nemein Solutions has created the first commercial implementation in the world that uses Midgard 2 in its structure.

Midgard 2 is the next generation version of the Midgard content management engine. Midgard 2 has been designed from the ground up as a flexible general purpose application server.

The first production-level application of Midgard 2 is a powerful search implementation that uses Midgard 2 as a separate application alongside Midgard 1.4. Midgard 1.4 application calls the Midgard 2 server, which is responsible for the search. Nemein contributes the search implementation to all developers within the Midgard community.

The work on Midgard 2 was begun in fall 2000 and the final 2.0 version is expected to be released in December 2001. The primary developer of Midgard 2 is Ami Ganguli, Senior Consultant in Nemein Solutions, the leading provider of Midgard applications and services.
