  Jan 12th, 08:48 UTC

The company is relocating its West Coast office, adding a new western regional manager and is spinning off its computer hardware sales operations.

DAYTON, OHIO -- TeamLinux Corporation, a leading provider of web-enabled interactive products and consulting services for enterprise solutions, today announced it is reorganizing and adding key professional staff to intensify its focus on developing the highest growth segments of its business and make its products and services more accessible to its target kiosk and open systems markets. As a result the company is relocating its West Coast office, adding a new western regional manager and is spinning off its computer hardware sales operations.

"TeamLinux has taken decisive steps to optimize our business and market potential," stated Dan Maher, TeamLinux chairman and CEO. "The adjustments we're announcing today reflect a consolidation and maximizing of the several acquisitions we have made over the past few months. We want to focus on those resources and business opportunities that will enable us to achieve our aggressive growth plans. These changes will have only a minimal impact on our projected short-term financial results."

The TeamLinux western region office has been relocated from Orange County, California to San Jose. Joining TeamLinux as western regional manager is Selcuk N. Caglar. Caglar comes to TeamLinux from Vestel USA, Inc. where he served as president and CEO. During his tenure at Vestel, Caglar also held senior marketing and business development positions. An undergraduate of Istanbul University, Turkey, he holds a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University. "We are delighted to have someone with Selcuk's background, experience and contacts join our team," said Yit Lee, Chief Operating Officer.

As part of the reorganization, TeamLinux also announces it is spinning off its operations focused on the sales of computer hardware. This decision will provide more concentration on its interactive kiosk, Internet appliance, and open systems and services operations.
