Who's Magic Software?
Magic, an applications development technology and solutions company, increasingly has been enlarging its involvement with the Linux market. Earlier this year, the company began offering free limited development and deployment licenses of its Magic for Linux product to interested developers to help them efficiently build business applications for the solutions-starved Linux platform. With this contest, Magic hopes to help drive even more e-commerce and other business solutions to the Linux platform.
The Contest
The submissions will be judged on the basis of their aesthetic appeal, functionality, ease of use, navigability, overall performance and completeness. Judges for the contest will include representatives of Magic and Jon "Maddog" Hall, Executive Director of Linux International, as well as other industry and media representatives. The winner will be notified by telephone and announced publicly in November 1999.
