Free Download of Corel PHOTO-PAINT(r) 9 for Linux(r)!

Download version available in early summer

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--March 10, 2000- Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSE: COR) today announced it will offer a free download of Corel PHOTO-PAINT(r) 9 for Linux. The download version of Corel PHOTO-PAINT 9 for Linux, Corel's photo-editing, image composition and painting application, will be available in early summer.

Some notable features included in the application are its powerful Interactive Tools and Live Effects; a user-friendly interface; compatibility among the most popular graphics file formats; and an easy-to-follow solution for publishing to the Web and PDF (Portable Document Format). Corel PHOTO-PAINT 9 for Linux will also include comprehensive online documentation.

A retail version of CorelDRAW(r) 9 Graphics Suite for Linux which includes Corel PHOTO-PAINT 9 will ship late summer 2000 with comparable pricing to the Windows(r) version of this product.
