Angstrom Microsystems Launches First
Complete Linux Powered eCommerce Solution

Boston, MA February 21, 2000 - Angstrom Microsystems has unveiled the Linux industry's first complete eCommerce solution.

"This is the premier turnkey Linux eCommerce solution. Other companies provide hardware and operating systems, but Angstrom Microsystems is the first to also offer Linux software and support," explained CEO Lalit Jain. "Angstrom saves our clients' time, reduces the need for technical expertise and provides end-to-end application support. "

Angstrom reduces time-to-market by offering a menu of Linux-based pre-configured and easy-to-operate solutions such as web, cache, application, email, firewall security, database & file servers. Angstrom delivers these solutions by providing end-to-end service designed to quick-start eBusinesses.

By maintaining a large menu of these off the shelf eCommerce solutions, Angstrom can mix and match a solution to meet your custom eBusiness needs.

"We chose Angstrom Microsystems because their solutions make it possible to get products and services to market online quickly and effectively," said Sanjay Manldoi of MSB Datasystems. "Without Angstrom, you would have to build an eCommerce site from scratch, having to hire expertise, perform research on a fast evolving Internet market and then assemble parts to form a custom solution."

Angstrom speeds the deployment of eCommerce servers because Angstrom has already done the research, integration, configuration, and security work. While other server companies' support includes only their hardware and Linux or Windows NTTM, Angstrom provides end-to-end support, includingpre- and post-sale support, of its complete eCommerce solutions.

According to an International Data Corporation (IDC) study, Linux currently runs on almost one-third of all Internet web servers and Linux operating system sales grew over 180% last year.

"Web servers and other Internet technologies are key components of eBusiness solutions. There is an untapped market for Linux-based eBusiness solutions," said Jain. "Angstrom's strategy will provide Linux-based solutions for established bricks-and-mortar companies and businesses looking for quick startup solutions to Internet eCommerce."
