Virtuoso is a new Virtual Database Engine product that enables heterogeneous backend databases to be viewed, updated, and manipulated from a single ODBC, JDBC, UDBC or OLE-DB connection. Virtuoso helps organizations simplify the process of transforming data held in multiple database into readily available information assets exploitable by E-business and Internet solutions.

Virtuoso supports Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, Sybase SQL Server, Ingres, Progress, DB/2, and other ODBC compliant database engines.
