UK's leading Open Source services group restructures for growth
  Jul 2nd, 15:48 UTC

Sirius Corporation announced today that it is the UK's first open source services group to become a Publicly Limited Company. The company's new structure is a reflection of their rapid growth in 2008 and will enable it to offer a greater range of services to its clients.

The group's activities will continue to be run by Open Source pioneer Mark Taylor as CEO, with the assistance of board members Roger Spurling (CFO), Duncan Gibb (Technical Director) and Tom Callway (Marketing Director). The team will have responsibility for the growth of Sirius Corporation's activities throughout Europe.

Sirius' staff will also begin to benefit from the move as a share ownership scheme comes on stream later in 2008.

Commenting on the new structure, Mark Taylor, CEO, said:

"More and more organisations are looking at Open Source Software as a way of substantially reducing their operating costs.

"The creation of Sirius Corporation as a PLC will provide us with an improved platform from which to meet growing demand for our services."
