Santa Clara, CA - March 11, 2008 - Sparx Systems (www.sparxsystems.com), a leading provider of visual modeling tools, today announced it was a winner of the Jolt Productivity Award during last week's 18th Annual Awards Ceremony, held at the Software Development West 2008 Conference.

Sparx Systems was honored with a Jolt Productivity Award in the highly competitive Design Tool and Modeling category. This is the second time the company has been awarded the prize for its flagship modeling environment, Enterprise Architect.

The prestigious Jolt Awards, presented by Dr. Dobb's, recognize those products that have "jolted the industry with their significance and made the task of creating software faster, easier, and more efficient. Winners are selected from among hundreds of qualified nominations by an esteemed panel of judges consisting of industry insiders, columnists, and technology leaders.

"This year was an exceptionally exciting year for the Jolt's, because there were so many strong candidates in each category," said Amber Ankerholz, conference manager for Dr. Dobb's Events. "Sparx Systems' selection in the Design Tool and Modeling category puts it among an elite group of software development innovators."

Sparx Systems CEO, Geoffrey Sparks commented: "In a complex and rapidly changing marketplace, we remain committed to the principle of delivering highly available, strong and agile tools that can manage and integrate information across many disciplines. It is a great honor and pleasure to see those principles recognized and rewarded by the Jolt panel of judges."
